MARSHALLS TSAWWASSEN MILLS
Location: Tsawwassen, BC
Construction Period: June to September 2016
In October 2016, Ivanhoe Cambridge opened Tsawwassen Mills, a 1.2 million square foot outlet mall on Tsawwassen First Nations land in Delta, BC.
Bricon was thrilled to be involved in the construction of a 25,000 sq ft Marshalls anchor store at this property.
Ontario
Briarfield Shopping Centre
Location: St. Catharines, ON
Construction Date: 2017
Square Footage: 500 LNFT
This project was a facade renovation/ restoration to over 500 linear feet of storefronts. It was a challenging project as all businesses had to remain open and fully accessible at all times day and night. The project involved the removal and new installation of an existing false architectural canopy, fascia and soffit system. We installed several tonnes of galvanized architectural metal lattice on the facade.
Located in the east end of St. Catharines with two major anchor stores and a busy local restaurant this plaza was constantly filled with pedestrians, so traffic, pedestrian control and protection remained the top priorities on this project.
Eastgate Square Interior Mall Renovation
Location: Hamilton, ON
Construction Date: 2015
Square Footage: 52,300 sq ft
This project involved the replacement of all ceramic tile flooring throughout the mall, the removal and upgrade of all mall lighting to new LED fixtures, the installation of new decorative drywall bulkheads throughout the mall corridors, and all new finishes and furniture throughout the mall and food court. All stores remained open daily throughout construction, with work taking place after hours.
HomeSense
Location: 1840 The Queensway – Etobicoke, ON
Construction Period: January – June 2018
In 2018, Bricon was handpicked by TJX Canada to undertake the renovation of their newly expanded 33,000 sq ft HomeSense store in Etobicoke, Ontario. This location is the busiest HomeSense store in the world. Over five months, Bricon completely renovated the store’s interior, expanded the Staff Lounge, built a new Universal Washroom and constructed a new storefront façade – All while the store remained open for business.
Jump+ Premium Apple Reseller
Location: Lime Ridge Mall – Hamilton
Construction Date: 2016
Square Footage: 2,580 sq ft
Jump+ is Canada’s first and largest Apple premium reseller with construction guidelines and specs that are on par with Apple’s clean lines.
This was a unique project for Bricon with millwork and installation crews coming from Germany, the construction schedule ran on a very tight timeline due to the international element of construction. Large format floor tiles demanded a perfect floor. The store showcases modern finishes and clean lines including drywall ceilings, high end lighting packages and 12′ high glass storefront.
Kit & Ace
Location: Oakville, ON
Construction Date: 2015
Square Footage: 2,580 sq ft
Bricon was excited to take on this challenging project as it took place in the Heritage District of Downtown Oakville. This area boasts very strict guidelines to construction in attempt to preserve the areas Heritage feel.
This was a complete facade renovation combined with lowering the floor inside and providing new clean walls for the incoming high end retail clothing tenant. Construction included structural shoring on existing stone foundation walls, new columns and supporting structure for the new floor. The new tenants high end designed demanded precision and the use of products that were new to Bricon.
Princess Auto

This project involved the conversion of a vacant grocery store into a 37,000 sq ft Princess Auto mega store, including a new exterior facade, reconfigured loading dock, and new exterior emergency exit staircase.
Rexall
Location: Scarborough
Construction Period: March 15 – June 4, 2010
Square Footage: 14,800
This project involved the expansion of an existing Rexall store into the adjacent vacant restaurant space. It included the construction of a new exterior facade, the fit out of an expansion space, and the renovation of the existing store, while maintaining the daily operation of the pharmacy at all times throughout construction.
Winners
Location: 10 Dundas Street East – Toronto, ON
Construction Date: 2016
At the heart of Toronto, adjacent to busy Yonge & Dundas Square, is the 10 Dundas Shopping Centre. With its own subway station, this complex is a high profile destination for commuters and tourists alike. In 2016, Bricon was chosen to undertake the construction of a new 26,000 sq ft “Urban Style” Winners store in the former Future Shop at 10 Dundas. With sleek architecture, including 18’ high glass partitions, free-standing feature walls and high end finishes, this store caters to the savvy city shopper.
World Gym
Location: Scarborough, ON
Construction Period: November 2013 to January 2014
Square Footage: 23,800 sq ft
In 2013, Bricon converted a vacant grocery store into a 23,800 sq ft Fitness Centre. Complete with new exterior facade, mezzanine, basketball courts, showers, saunas, steam rooms and offices.
Mark's Work Wearhouse
Location: Cambridge, ON
Construction Period: April 2019-July 2019
Square Footage: 18,000 sqft
This project was part of a target re-demise. BRICON converted 18,000 sqft into a Mark Work Wearhouse. This conversion included a complete demolition of exterior store front and rebuild and complete interior fit up.
Tepperman's Furniture

This project involved the conversion of a vacant department store into a 47,500 sq ft Tepperman’s Furniture store including new exterior store front and complete interior fit up.
